Selected pieces will be worked on with help from tutor Russell Keable. We are aiming for 1 flute, 1 oboe, 1 clarinet, 1 bassoon, 1 horn, 4 violins, 2 violas, 2 ‘cellos, 1 double bass, 1 piano and 1 singer.
You’ll also get time to relax by the pool and visit local sites of interest.
Mixed Chamber Music is for…
- amateur musicians or instrumental teachers, of diploma level or higher, who would like to holiday in this beautiful part of France and have fun playing chamber music
- music students who would like to broaden their experience of the mixed chamber music repertoire

A late supper will be provided, at about 21:00 (20:00 UK time) on the first evening, when everyone has arrived. Light refreshments (cake, tea, drinks, nibbles) will be provided for those arriving during the afternoon and early evening.
The course ends after breakfast on Saturday 3rd August. We’ll provide a light packed lunch for your journey.
Russell Keable is a wonderfully enabling coach and conductor. Russell will be leading this course at Cubertou, conducting sessions with the entire ensemble as well as coaching rehearsals with smaller groups. He has worked with a range of Orchestras, from the Cambridge Holiday (Youth) Orchestra to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Russell is resident conductor of The Kensington Symphony Orchestra and teaches conducting at Surrey University.
